Welcome to the IDEA School of Design Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication, Class of 2030!
The Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication is now welcoming its 13th cohort of students.
Every year, we ask our new Visual Communication students to choose a favourite song or music video, in any language and any genre, and share it with their new classmates. It’s become a bit of a tradition at IDEA School of Design at Capilano University, and a fun way for a new cohort to get to know each other on their very first day.

From classic rock and new wave to modern indie, contemporary pop, K-pop and electronic music, this year’s playlist spans generations as well as genres. That’s what makes this tradition worth keeping. It gives us an early glimpse of the people behind the names on the class list.
