Hi! I’m one of the first-year students in the 4 year Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication program at CapU’s IDEA School of Design. One of my all-time favourite songs is called “Always” by Daniel Caeser. Looking forward to a great first year at CapU!

I had a difficult time choosing which song/music video to send for the playlist! I am a consummate music lover and adore a wide variety of flavours. I ended up deciding on Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai. Besides being an absolute groove of a song, the music video and its clever use of practical effects are pretty iconic.

Finale by Toby Fox
Paige Vivian
My song is Galway Girl by Ed Sheeran
Charlotte Wong
Here’s one of my go-to songs: stars by Band Nah.
Wyatt Blackman
One of my favourite songs is Pink Floyd’s Have a Cigar.
Matthew West
Holy Touch by Foxy Shazam
Scarlett Kam
keshi - Soft Spot
Sophie Obermann
The Roots - You Got Me ft. Erykah Badu
Sydney Emche
This is my favourite song and it also has a great video!
Talking Heads - This Must Be the Place (Naïve Melody)
This playlist feels like a kaleidoscope of soundscapes — indie rock swagger (Franz Ferdinand, Foxy Shazam), smooth R&B (Daniel Caesar, The Roots, keshi), experimental and quirky brilliance (Frou Frou, Toby Fox, Talking Heads), iconic classics (Pink Floyd, Jamiroquai), and heartfelt mainstream singalongs (Ed Sheeran). Each track reveals something about the person who chose it, and together they form a portrait of diverse yet connected musical identities — a blend of groove, introspection, playfulness, and storytelling.
We wish them all ultimate success as they embark on a 4-year Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication degree.
