The first submission is the Art-Nouveau era poster assignment from IDES141. I really enjoyed this one as it was one of our first forays into coming to grips with making designs based on a past art movement, and I found myself having a lot of fun illustrating in that style. The constant balancing act between illustration and text & information was another thing I really enjoyed during this poster design work - it felt like a puzzle and a challenge where it felt really gratifying to come up with solutions for.

The second submission is the movie scene recreation from [Pascal’s] class. I think this has been my favorite assignment out of the whole semester. Being the first assignment where we can use digital, it was something right up my alley and I was really in my element here. Ideas for scenes came out in droves and I enjoyed the entire process from start to finish. Illustrative storytelling and composition was something I’ve been wanting to get into for the longest time from a personal perspective, and this assignment was the perfect springboard for that which I really appreciated. All-in-all, there is only positive feelings that I have for this assignment
