Frankenstein
For our Typographic book cover project, I decided to do Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. I really enjoyed the Guillermo del Toro film, so my illustration is largely based on that adaptation. I wanted to symbolize The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo with the creature and Elizabeth’s first encounter.
Oil Portrait
For my IDES 131 Self Portrait, I decided to paint my best friend, Ryan. This was my first ever attempt at a portrait in Oil Paint, and as someone who wasn’t a big fan of painting before this course, I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I really enjoyed this experience as a whole.
