Congratulations to Lilian Leung for winning a D&AD New Blood Award!

We're very pleased to announce that Grad 16 student Shyronn Smardon won one of three new Applied Arts Georges Haroutiun Scholarships! The $3,000 award (design category) also comes with tickets to the Applied Arts Magazine 30th Anniversary Gala in Toronto where the awards will be presented and work shown in front of Canada’s top industry creatives.

Lexus recently invited students from Canadian schools to design an auto show display for the new Lexus RX 350 SUV. Three IDEA students beat out teams from OCAD and Concordia!

2015 IDEA graduate Cristian Fowlie just snagged a Merit (for his illustration, “New Energy” and three Honourable Mentions in the international student competition for 3x3: The Magazine of Contemporary Illustration.

IDEA students Jeremy Michael, Jessica Ngo, and Tierney Milne scored First, Second and Third Place respectively in the Illustration category of CAPIC's Rodeo7 Contest this spring.

Grad 2015 students Lilian Leung and Aimée Grimes each won a $1,000 Jim Rimmer Scholarship, open to all design students in British Columbia, Canada.

We are pleased to announce that IDEA students were hugely successful in this year's GDC National Scholarship Awards! Many congratulations go to Grad 2015 students Michelle Lim, Wes Browne, Lillian Leung and Jocelyn Wong.

This is the first time we've entered the RGD awards - many congratulations go to Alex Bakker (Grad 2014) Mustaali Raj (Grad 2014) and Garret Schauteet (Grad 2015).

IDEA grad Ksenia Kozhevnikovawas honoured with a Distinguished Merit Award for her entry, “Snake Princess” as well as two Awards of Merit and an Honourable Mention.

IDEA grad, Ksenia Kozhevnikova’s Toxic Beauty wins First Place at the 6th annual CAPIC (The Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators) national student competition, Rodeo.

IDEA students won Salazar awards in the Print and Branding categories. Many congratulations to Katie Maasik (Branding) and Alex Bakker (Print).

Both of the $1,000 Jim Rimmer Community Scholarships were won by IDEA students! Huge congratulations to Lauren Coutts (grad 14) and Mustaali Raj (grad 14).

Congratulations to Jamie Cook and Alex Bakker (both grad 14) who won the student award at this year's Lotus Awards! (Lotus is a competitive advertising awards show that celebrates creative excellence in British Columbia.)

Finalist in CAPIC's 2013 Rodeo 5 contest and featured on ImagineFX as "image of the day".
