Snakes is a book I made for an assignment called 10 Ways To Solve It for DSGN 122. I chose to collage using acrylic and watercolour sheets as I fell in love with it in our first term illustration class. I am proud of this assignment, as coming from my background in early childhood education, this really let my imagination run wild, keeping in mind elements I know children would love and something I would love to show them. I am also really proud of this piece because I learned a new skill by using digital collage with Procreate for the title.
Chicken Bath In Seattle
Chicken Bath in Seattle is made from collage using acrylic sheets and vintage magazines. This was an assignment for IDES 131. I love this because I am originally from Washington State, and it is such a special place to me. It also showcases a bit of my personality in the sense that I love unserious art or art that makes you smile or laugh. I have quite the collection of vintage magazines, newspapers and articles and any chance I get to use them in my art, now I am eager to do so.
