On Saturday, September 7, 2019, visual artist, illustrator, and educator, Jeff Burgess hosted the ninth annual student exhibition of works produced over the summer by IDEA School of Design students Sophie Young (IDEA21), Alison Johnstone (IDEA21), Charis Wang (IDEA20) (shown above), and Aidan Zecchel (IDEA21). IDEA Interprets explores a single theme through typography and illustration. The poster show and sale helps to support the development of emerging local artists. The theme of the 2019 show, “Growth”, has been imaginatively interpreted by second year illustration and design students. Opening Gala: April 23, 2019 | 6pm-8pm.
